Mobile Prepaid Activation
Should I get Alltel or Virgin Mobile?

I am going to buy either alltel or virgin mobile for prepaid phone. Does anyone have personal experience with one and if so, are they good? Also, two VERY important questions.
1. What is the expiration date on the alltel prepaid phone cards?
2. Is there an activation fee for virgin mobile. If so, then how much is it?

In my experience doing prepaid reviews, I've seen a ton more complaints about Virgin than Alltel.

Customer service at Virgin is terrible, though the service may be slightly better. Thing is, you're bound to run into problems. Alltel will usually solve your problem quickly. You'll get the runaround with Virgin.

Other than customer service, though, they're pretty comparable services.

Frustration and fun in Pakistan
When travelling, I always buy a prepaid Sim card upon arriving in each country. Roaming charges are still pretty exorbitant for data and getting a pre-paid Sim means you can beat the system, even if you are only there for a few days. But of all the places I have picked up local Sim cards, my adventure in Pakistan a couple of months ago will forever remain in the memory.
