Between CDMA and GSM which one will you prefare and why?

GSM and CDMA are two cellular technologies which seem to dominate the World nowadays, but if one have to go for one which is the best in general?

CDMA, which is generally thought of as encompassing CDMA-one and CDMA-2000 are, generally speaking restricted to North America. They are used by Sprint and Verizon

GSM is a truly worldwide technology, used nearly everywhere.

Here's my comparisons of various factors:

Coverage:
GSM is everywhere, Eurasia, Africa, the Americas, Australia. It's got CDMA beat hands down here.

Voice quality:
About the same

Reliability:
GSM is the winner here. A CDMA tower might reach further (an arguable point), but as more and more people start using the tower, the coverage area of the tower actually starts to shrink and, during busy traffic times (like when everyone is driving home), this can lead to little blank areas with no coverage.

Data:
Right now, CDMA is ahead by a good margin, but that will change very soon (probably less than a year). GSM is adding an adjunct to their system called 3G (aka UMTS, (which, to confuse matters, uses a slightly different version of CDMA). 3G will boost download speeds to 14 Mbits/sec. CDMA will never be able to compete with this. In fact, 3g is already implemented throughout most of Europe and it's working quite nicely.
