Do I HAVE to have a quad band cell phone?
I am a Cingular customer, and I have recently been looking for a "texting" type of cell phone since it seems thats all I do. However, I'm really disappointed in the selection Cingular offers. So I was looking on Ebay and found some older model "texting" phones (for example the LG f9100) but these phones are dual band or tri band phones, and Cingular says I have to have a quad band phone especially since I have a 3G sim card. What would happen if I were to use one of the lower band phones? (other than the obvious that the 3G wouldn't be compatable)

This is not entirely wrong. True, in the US one only needs two bands, when when a phone is triband, it is typically 900/1800/1900, which is missing the 850 band AT&T recommends for all its phones. A quadband phone has 850 Mhz as standard.
There are triband 850/1800/1900 phones that work flawlessly in the US.
A quadband phone is probably preferred, but it is not needed. If you live in an urban area, it is more than likely entirely covered by 1900 Mhz, which a Euro triband phone would have. You will most likely not get signal if you live in a rural area or if you stray too far outside the city. You may also not get good reception in buildings.

I need ringtones that are free for Bell Mobility users my phone is a samsung (a660 not sure) the colour front kind. Does anyone know?
You can make your own ringtones for free!
First of all, you go to any ringtone site, but usually they don't have exactly what you want, or only part of a song, and it's not your favorite part, so you have to settle. That sucks!
1. MAKE YOUR OWN RINGTONE
Go to http://www.tucows.com/preview/502368... and download the ringtone maker. Also, just about any MP3 editing sotware will work. Remember, the smaller the file, the cheaper it will be to upload it!
2. POST YOUR NEW MP3
Post your new MP3 to a website, such as your yahoo page. Right click and find the url for that mp3. It should end with ".mp3".
3. GET YOUR RING
Go to that url with your phone. It will automatically download that ring.
4. YOUR DONE
That's it, no more steps.

I want to get a sidekick LX off ebay.
Unlocked sidekicks will not work very well if they are unlocked even here in the US. They are network dependent phone so if it is not functioning on the T-Mobile network then it will keep deleting all of your things in the phone including pictures and phone book entries. It will keep giving you an error message because it will keep trying to connect to the network and it won't be able to. T-Mobile doesn't give out unlock codes so most of the phones that are "unlocked" really aren't. I would not advise buying it.

Can you make your android phone generate wifi?
Is there an app or method to make your android phone act as a wifi hotspot? I have pda net for my laptop, but was wondering if I could hook up my Wii with wifi.
Well, the answer is no. Your phone can't act as a Wi-Fi hotspot simply because the transmitter's too small. It may work if you hacked the software to do so, but it would not come out very well. Your phone can, on the other hand connect to your computer via bluetooth assuming your computer has an adapter for it and you can then create an Ad-Hoc network for your Wii to connect to, as long as you share the connection through your phone. You're better off just buying a router and using it with standard internet service, though.

Okay so i dropped my 4th generation ipod nano. so i was wondering since the 8g iPhone 3GS is only $99 now, is it better to get the iphone or pay a little more for the 8g itouch? but before i decide i want to know...

You would probably not be able to keep that plan, but only ATT can answer these questions.

Can anyone provide me with a reason why Apple iPhone 3G & 3GS prices has fallen so drastically ?
Apple iPhone used to be so expensive , wouldn't they lose money this way ?
Add on : With regards to Sandy's answer , the newer model iPhone is 3G(S) which is precisely what I have already mentioned above !
actually iphone 3g and iphone 3gs r subsidized by at&t or whichever carrier iphone is with outside of US. at&T is expensive cos they must pay back apple for providing iphones so cheap. thats y the price of an unlocked model is so much more, cos u r directly paying the full cost of the phone. if u actually consider the full cost of owning an iphone over 2yrs u will find that the iphone 3g is actually more expensive than iphone bcos the plan is more expensive. at the end of 2 yrs, u hv payed about $50-$100 more which is about the cost of adding the new features.
also if u studied economics, increasing the price doesnt necessarily lead to an increase in revenue. u need to look at the elasticity of demand, and then fix a price which wud maximize total revenue. dont forget at lower prices there is more demand so take for example sell 10 units at $500 (rev = 5k) or sell 30 units at $200 (rev = 6k). also the more ppl hv an iphone, the more app downloads, and more apps created which also generates revenue for apple.

why isnt my touch working on y ipod touch? PLEASE HELP?
okayy, so ik was on it lastnight on facebbook on it and the internet came off so i went on settings and connected it again, it was connecting then it froze and the sreen isnt working (touch wise) andd i can lock it and press the middle button but thats it so i cant unlock it now cos thescreen isnt working please help!!! i have only just got this ipod!
Have you tried resetting your ipod by holding down the lock and home buttons for 5 seconds?
If it still isn't working after a reset, and, as you said, brand new. you can use Apple's website to request a service. If it's faulty and under warranty, they'll replace it at no charge.
